چکیده

Hard magnetic materials belong to a novel class of soft active with the capability quick, large, and complex deformation via applying an external actuation. They have extensive range potential applications in robots, biomedical devices, stretchable electronics, etc. Recently, investigation on experimental theoretical nonlinear mechanics hard cantilevers has received notable considerations. In available analyses, most attention was paid non-bifurcation-type system, bifurcation considered for specific case. current study, general trend bifurcation-type is introduced effective parameters occurrence are identified. Additionally, new trajectories due corresponding workspace presented. Eventually, comprehensive comparative study between those reported prior studies carried out.

Nanometer Scale Hard/Soft Bilayer Magnetic Antidots

The effect of arrays of nanometer scale pores on the magnetic properties of thin films has been analyzed. Particularly, we investigated the influence of the out-of-plane magnetization component created by the nanopores on the in-plane magnetic behavior of patterned hard/soft magnetic thin films in antidot morphology. Its influence on the coupling in Co/Py bilayers of few tens of nanometer thick...

A soft/hard magnetic nanostructure based on multisegmented CoNi nanowires.

In this paper we have introduced a new soft/hard nanostructure based on multisegmented CoNi nanowire arrays having diameters of around 110 nm and made of five segments with nominal compositions of Co, Co66Ni33, Co50Ni50, Co33Ni66 and Ni, each of which has a length of 800 nm, so that the total length of the multisegmented nanowire is 4 μm. These arrays have been synthesized by means of potentios...

Revisiting the Instability and Bifurcation Behavior of Soft Dielectrics

Development of soft electromechanical materials is critical for several tantalizing applications such as human-like robots, stretchable electronics, actuators, energy harvesting, among others. Soft dielectrics can be easily deformed by an electric field through the socalled electrostatic Maxwell stress. The highly nonlinear coupling between the mechanical and electrical effects in soft dielectr...

Previously reported soft robots and machines have not been reconfi gurable: Their structures, once generated, were fi xed and not amenable to reversible changes that modify capabilities. In addition, devices that are composed of multiple materials and contain networks of channels perpendic...

Phase behavior of dipolar hard and soft spheres.

We study the phase behavior of hard and soft spheres with a fixed dipole moment using Monte Carlo simulations. The spheres interact via a pair potential that is a sum of a hard-core Yukawa (or screened-Coulomb) repulsion and a dipole-dipole interaction. The system can be used to model colloids in an external electric or magnetic field. Two cases are considered: (i) colloids without charge (or d...
